What are mulch mats used for at the base of trees?

Mulch mats are used to protect the base of trees from damage caused by lawn mowers, weed whackers, and other gardening tools. They also help to retain moisture in the soil, which can be especially important during dry spells. Mulch mats can also help to reduce weed growth around the base of trees, which can be unsightly and can compete with the tree for nutrients.

Why you should buy it

Eco-Friendly Tree Ring Mulch Mat is the perfect addition to any garden. It is made from recycled materials and is environmentally friendly. It is also durable and long-lasting, so you can be sure that it will last for years to come. The mulch mat helps to reduce weed growth, retain moisture in soil, and protect tree roots from damage. It is easy to install and maintain, making it a great choice for busy households.

Best thing ever

These really do look good at the bottom of our magnolia tree, we've put a little bit of bark on top just near the stump and covers any roots growing near to the surface, I've put them under all our trees now, bought 4 and would buy another if I get another tree. Best thing ever.

Exactly what I needed to stop squirrels digging out around the roots of my expensive magnolia. It has the depth and weight to stay in place and has worked a treat. Well priced too - not much more expensive than flimsy thin fibre paper ones sold in garden centres.
